  • What is Pilates?
Pilates is a physical fitness system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, focusing on improving core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness.
  • What is reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates brings mat Pilates off the floor, with the use of a specialised piece of equipment called a reformer. The reformer is a bed-like frame with a sliding carriage, adjustable springs, straps, and pulleys. The springs provide different levels of resistance, the straps and pulleys allow for a wide range of movements. The reformer's design enables users to perform a variety of exercises that target specific muscle groups and engage the core. Reformer Pilates exercises emphasize precise movements, proper alignment, and controlled breathing. The resistance provided by the springs challenges the muscles, helping to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and posture.
